Digital Marketing Strategy of dBrand
Hello everyone, I am Mirza Mohammed and this is an assignment for submission for assessment at SVKM's Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous) under the guidance of prof. Conrad Coelho. So we are going to take a look at the marketing strategy of the company dBrand.

dBrand is one of the more creative and friendly vinyl skin manufacturers around which started in 2011. They have over 2 million followers on twitter and 254,000 followers on Facebook. Their activity is a little less on Facebook. dBrand makes screen protectors, cases and skins for laptops, cameras, consoles, mobile and their other accessories such as charger and earphones. They even sell their special masks and Rubik's cube as well. I came to know about this company first while watching a video on YouTube of jerryrigeverything which dBrand had sponsored. Then I saw many other youtubers advertising for this company such as Linus Tech Tips, Hacksmith Industries, MKBHD, Pewdiepie, etc. They sponsor these YouTuber's videos and advertise their product. They even have a separate YouTube channel where they announce what new skins or cases they are launching. They not only just show what they are launching but they even release another video for guidelines as to how to apply the skin or how to apply the screen protector or how good are their cases, giving consumers each and every detail about their product. I went to their twitter and Facebook pages to see what they are posting there. They post their products ads there whatever they are going to launch and they have an interesting way of communicating with the people. I didn't see them using any hashtags but whatever product they display they give a link to that product product in the caption. Even on their YouTube channel they don't use any hashtags in the video description, they just write one or two lines about their product and just give a link of the product. While communicating with the consumers they talk like they are their friends and the even crack some jokes to keep the comment section a fun place.

They not only sponsor videos on YouTube but they also Collab with them for their products. Like they did a Collab with MKBHD for the MKBHD collection, they did a Collab with jerryrigeverything for teardown skins, then they also did collaborations with Linus Tech Tips and Pewdiepie. These are some content creators with a huge amount of subscribers, this helps them reach out to as many people as possible.

They even posted about this collab on Facebook and they received a ton of followers and purchases because of this collab. I couldn't login to Instagram as I do not have an account to see what dbrand is doing there. But they even organize some polls on pages for their products and if people like them or not.
We can say that they might not have been this famous just by themselves and their advertising. They thought about it and sponsored many big youtubers so that people will know of their products. They even did partnerships with YouTuber's to launch new styles which people like. Then comes their tutorial videos for applying those stickers. Applying a sticker on a flat surface like a phone is easy but what about applying the sticker around a curved airpods box? They have a complete guide on YouTube showing how you have to apply that skin so you don't make any mistakes, and even if you do make a mistake they take this into consideration and already pack 2 sets so you don't have to order again. And another thing about them is that they almost have a global reach delivering to almost every country in the world.
We can say that they followed a very simple marketing strategy. They just tried reaching out to as many people as they can to promote their product. They have been around for 10 years and they have become a well reputed brand at least in the western countries as such things are not so famous in India. We understand that they focused more on spreading their brand and making people aware about it around the world.
